Dear Barbara:

I am so sorry it has taken over a year to see your e-mail and respond. How interesting about the deeds. I know my grandfather did a lot of buy and selling of land. I believe that Suckles Lake was named after my grandfather, Louis Suckle, and his brother, Jacob Suckle. In 2003 I visited Prescott and met a 90+year old gentleman, Sam Dickinson, who had known my mother when she was a little girl. He told me that the Suckle brothers had originally owned the land where the lake is. I did not have the time to research the old land titles, so I am not certain about this.

If you want to pursue any of this with me, please feel free to e-mail me directly at:

dean.victoria.ortiz@gmail.com

All the best,

Victoria
