Brown/Sneed Family by Rosalind Treadwell (tread40@sbcglobal.net) on 2012-02-28 9:19 a.m.

I am trying to find an obituary for Harriet Emily Brown Sneed. I have that she was born 15 Oct., 1866 and died 18 Feb. 1940 in Prescott. I found her husband's grave and it is a double stone but her death date is blank. What I am searching for is her parent's names. Hoping to find it in an obit. I have also searched for the death certificate of her brother, William Nelson Brown born 30 Mar. 1868 in Arkansas supposedly died 19 April, 1953 but have been told there was not a death certificate that matched any information on him in different years or counties.

Their mother was said to have been Malinda Friend. I am not positive on the maiden name. She married a man by the name of Brown and then about 1879 she married James Henry Carr.

      Brown/Sneed Family by No name. (No e-mail) on 2012-02-28 11:19 a.m.

I have been unable to find obits under those names.. You might try Nevada County Library. They have a larger list of names.
