This old burial place is located on the north side of Hwy. 24 about one half mile northwest of the intersection of Hwys. 24 and 53. The legal description will be in the northwest corner of Section 16, Township 11 South, Range 20 West. I am calling it the Woodell Cemetery because this was the only name that could be found.
Driving directions: From the intersection of Hwy. 24 and Hwy. 53, go toward Prescott on Hwy. 24 for about one half mile. The graves will be on your right almost directly across the highway from the old Redfern house and a field. The graves are just off the highway right-of-way. The marker with the name was leaning up against a tree when I visited the site.
||A foot marker was found with the initials A. J. B. The letter B. could possibly stand for Barnes since this footstone was with the grave marker for Mary F. Barnes Woodell.
|Woodell, Mary F. Barnes
||Wife of A. M. Woodell; died at childbirth as per Woodell family researcher
||Child of A. M. Woodell and Mary F. Barnes Woodell. Died at birth or shortly thereafter. No grave found. This information from a Woodell family researcher
