Some features of our web site may require you to login in order to use.

Some features require not only that you login, but also that you have verified your e-mail address. This keeps bogus addresses out of our system.

We do the login routine so that we don't have to save any "cookies" on your computer.

What We Require

To add a free account at our site, we require your name and e-mail address and ask you to indicate whether or not we may "publish" (make available to other users) that information.

In order to verify your e-mail address, our system sends an e-mail message to the address you specify when you add your account or when you change your address.

In fact, when you click the "Save This Information" button on the "Edit My Info" screen, the form appears once again with a reminder at the top of the screen, "An e-mail message has been sent to [Your e-mail address] requesting confirmation of the change. Please visit the link provided in that message and you will then have access to all information on the web site."

The E-Mail Message

You should receive the message from our server immediately. However, your Internet Service Provider may delay the messages by a few minutes. The message looks something like this:

A change has been made to your e-mail address at DepotMuseum.Org. Please confirm this change by visiting our site at this URL:
   http://www.DepotMuseum.Org/users.heitml?ref=12345&abcd=efgh@ijkl.mnop
If you did not make this change, please reply to this e-mail immediately.
The indented line contains a hyperlink. If your e-mail reader allows you to click that link, do so. If your e-mail client does not allow you to click hyperlinks, copy it or type it into your web browser exactly as shown.

If You Do NOT Receive the E-Mail Message

If you do not receive the e-mail message from our server within a reasonable amount of time, please login to your account once again. Click the ""Edit My Info" link. Check your e-mail address to be sure it is accurate.

If the address is accurate, click the checkbox under the address then click the "Save This Information" button. Our server will send another message to you.

If your address is not accurate, please correct it then click the "Save This Information" button at the bottom of the page. Our server will send another message to you.

When You Verify

When you respond to the e-mail message by following the hyperlink, you should see this message on your screen thanking you for verifying your e-mail address and asking you to login if you need to do other tasks.

If you follow the verification link more than once, you see this message, "The e-mail address has been confirmed previously."
