Obituary: Dorothy Mae Kirkham Hendrix, age 78, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Hendrix was born in Prescott on August 23, 1944, to her parents Roy Kirkham and Hazel Helen Smart. On August 22, 1959, she married the love of her life, Jerry Hendrix and they shared 63 years of marriage and were blessed with three children. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter GeGe Applegate; two grandchildren, Braith and Jennifer; two brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Hendrix of Prescott, Arkansas; daughter, Teresa Smith (Dean) of Blevins, Arkansas; son, Jerry Hendrix Jr. of Prescott, Arkansas; sister, Joyce Walker of Prescott, Arkansas; two brothers, David Kirkham (Patricia) and Lee Cason (Sandy) both of Prescott, Arkansas; Survivors also include, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one great-grandson due in January; not to mention numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home, Prescott. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the Chapel at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home, Prescott with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home, Prescott.
