Obituary: Kenneth H. Lafferty, 89 of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away on September 8, 2019 at Wentworth Place in Magnolia, AR. He was born January 3, 1930 to George W. & Claudia (Cox) Lafferty in Patmos, AR. On February 26, 1953, he married Bonnie Sue Stell of Fordyce, AR in Camden, AR. Kenneth was a Christian and a member of Falcon Church of Christ Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked for Texas Eastern where he retired. Kenneth enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks play football, drinking coffee and visiting with friends in the mornings at McDonalds, raising & selling watermelons, fishing, hunting and making squirrel mulligan for members of his hunting club. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; sister, Valdean Williams; and brothers, Dale, Gerwood, Bobby, and Wayne; his mother & father-in-law Dora and Edward Stell. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Bonnie Sue Stell Lafferty of Bodcaw; daughter, Joy Lafferty of Bodcaw; son, David (Paula) Lafferty of Magnolia, AR; 6 grandchildren: Kim (James) Badgett, Jessica Nash, Michelle Lafferty, Jeremy (Jessica) Stenseth, Cody (Kadie) Clark, and Brandi (Cody) Chisholm; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Bill) Mitchell of Memphis, TN; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff of Wentworth Place and Lifetouch Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope. Funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Falcon Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
