Obituary: Brother Lee Edward Gulley was born April 18, 1947, to Lawson Gulley and Willie Mae McKinney Gulley. He lived in Bluff City, Arkansas and married Diana Sims on October 18, 1974. To this union, two children were born. He later moved to Prescott, Arkansas and married Alma Banks Gulley on July 12, 1999. Brother Gulley worked at Potlatch and Anthony Lumber in Whelen Springs, Arkansas, and International Paper in Gurdon, Arkansas, where he retired. His hobbies were riding bikes, watching WWE, sitting on the front porch, and enjoying his family. His favorite expressions were “Ba-Be” and “Alright.” Brother Gulley was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, Arkansas. He departed this life at the age of 75, on September 14, 2022, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson Gulley and Willie Mae McKinney Gulley; two brothers, Melvin Henry and Fred Gulley; four sisters, Fannie Mae Young, Zannie Mae Gulley, Annie Mae Gulley-Parker, and Opal Jean Ingram. Brother Gulley will forever be remembered by his daughters, Clara (Ronnie) Gulley and Gladies “Woman” Gulley; one son, Edward “Man” Gulley, all of Prescott, Arkansas; four bonus children, Yarnell (Raymond) Dorrough, Angela Dorrough, Phyllis (Lemani) Adams, and Jeffery (Delicia) Dorrough; fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Gray of Texarkana, Arkansas and Bobbie Fletcher of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Charles “Troy” Lee Gulley and James Edward Gulley both of Hope, Arkansas; four sisters-in-law, Clara Brown, Corene Smith, Janice (James) Bell Williams, and Dorothy Fort; four brothers-in-law, Clifton Sims, Floyd Sims, Danny Sims, and Alonzo Sims, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Submitted by the Gulley Family. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022at St. John Cemetery in Bluff City, Arkansas, with Rev. Edward Gulley, eulogist. Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons of Brother Lee Edward Gulley.
