Obituary: Melvin Dee Haneline, born in Marmaduke, Arkansas, passed away on December 7th. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patsy Glass Haneline, his daughter Kathy Haneline May of Russellville, Arkansas, his son David Haneline and wife Linda, Granddaughter Katherine Hardcastle, and two grandsons, Sebastian Gunner Lee May and Exzavior Keith, all from Russellville, Arkansas. Melvin served his country honorably in both the Army and Air Force, demonstrating exceptional bravery during the Korean War, earning him the prestigious Purple Heart. Remembered fondly by his nieces, Linda, Barbara, Sandra and Janice], and all who knew him, Melvin’s ingenuity and investment in his community leave a lasting impact. Visitation is scheduled 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm with Bro. Frank Henson officiating. Interment with military honors following at Caney Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes-Prescott.
