Obituary: Mrs. Betty Hawley, age 94, passed away on Friday February 23, 2024, in Prescott, Arkansas. She was born on March 29, 1929, to Alexander and Alta Garrett Avery in Prescott, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Herbert Sloan Hawley, son Steve Hawley, and sister Marguerite Avery. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Connie and Eddie McKelvy, of Bluff City, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Joseph (Elizabeth) McKelvy of Seneca, Missouri, Daniel (Jade) McKelvy of Prescott, Arkansas, and Astin Hawley of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Six great grandchildren, Tyler Betts, Carbon Javelet, Lorraine McKelvy, Ella McKelvy, Ruel McKelvy, Atlas Javelet, and one great great grandchild, Braelyn Betts. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Brazzel Cornish Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerry Westmorland officiating at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brazzel Cornish the Funeral Home of Prescott.
