Obituary: John Wayne Parks, 74, died December 29, 2021, at his home in Hope, AR. John was born on June 14, 1947, in Prescott, AR to Henry Parks and Emma Beard Parks. John was a proud veteran having served in the Marine Corps. After military service, John worked at Nest-Fresh and ARDOT, retiring from ARDOT after 31 years of service. After retirement, John enjoyed spending time with his grandson hunting and fishing in Southwest Arkansas and family time on Lake Greeson. John is survived by his spouse of 31 years, Cindy Inlow Parks of Hope AR; two children, Ronald Parks of Baton Rouge, LA, and Stephanie Parks of Shreveport, LA; and his very special grandson, Kaiden Fish-Parks of Hope, AR. He is also survived by four siblings: Will (Ann) Parks of Camden, AR, Linda Rowe of Hope, AR, Pam (Hugh) Mosley of Bearden, AR, and Randy Parks of McCaskill, AR. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Parks, and two siblings, Florence Brantley and Fern Binz. A memorial/graveside service will be held for friends and family at 2:00pm Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Liberty Cemetery, Prescott AR. Cremation services are under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
