Obituary: Anita J. Harvey (Hooks) passed away peacefully at her residence at the age of 91 in Alabama on May 23, 2023. She was born in October 1931 in Arkansas and was a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR, with a degree in biology. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Hooks and a sister, Shirley. She is survived by her children, Charles Harvey and Deborah Woksa, her son-in-law Marshall Woksa and grandson Ian Woksa. Anita was a strong Christian woman who loved and took great pride in her family. Being raised on a Navy base, she had a lifelong appreciation of the country and its military. Her interests included traveling, especially cruising the world, playing cards, reading and spending time at the beach. She was cherished for her gentle demeanor and love of good in all things. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held May 30, 2023, at Piney Grove Cemetery, Prescott, AR, at 1:00 pm. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her name to Piney Grove Cemetery C/O Paul Ridgell 631 Nevada 48 Prescott, Arkansas 71857 Services are under the direction of the Brazzel Funeral Homes.
