Obituary: Charlene Rogers, age 78, of Norman, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2025. She was born in Joaquin, Texas on June 29, 1946. She was the daughter of James Arthur Blackman and Loyce Maudell Beckham Blackman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dexter L. Rogers; and her son, Kelley D. Rogers. On June 30, 1962, Charlene married the love of her life, Dexter. Charlene was crafty, loved thrift shopping, and was a collector. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by four of her children and their spouses, Phyllis and Travis Stapp of Norman, Cynthia and Larry Shefstad of Savannah, Georgia, Kerrie Endsley of Conroe, Texas, and Krieg Rogers of Joaquin, Texas; her ten grandchildren, Hazel Stapp, Evan Stapp, Dakota Stapp, Taylor Rogers, Garrett Shefstad, Kelsey Endsley, Chayse Endsley, Blake Rogers, Brandon Rogers, and Haleigh Dillard; her brother, James Arthur Blackman; her two sisters, Maudelle Bracewell and Galenda Lee; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
