Obituary: Mrs. Wanda Huskey Haynie, age 84, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Little Rock. She was born on November 21, 1940, to Wade Huskey and Pauline Huskey Clark. She was the youngest of three daughters and the most mischievous. She grew up in Prescott and attended Prescott High School. She was married to her high school sweetheart and classmate, Shelby, for 55 years. Wanda loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved her neighbors, and they took good care of her after Shelby passed. Wanda was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott. She was a member of Arkansas Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma, Tri Service, Share Group, and several other organizations over the years. She loved playing bridge and enjoyed regular get-togethers with her high school classmates. She was a third-grade teacher at Prescott Elementary School for twenty-five years and loved the many students she taught. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Haynie; parents Wade Hampton Huskey and Pauline Huskey Clark; her stepfather Clifton Vance Clark; sisters Mary Hanson (Bill) of Levelland, TX, and Rose Butler (Jimmy) of Bodcaw, AR. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Pam Haynie (Jim Hanley) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Julie Haynie Wilson (Darrick) and grandchildren Logan Wade Wilson and Shelby Amanda Wilson all of Little Rock, AR, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Mrs. Haynie will be Sunday, April 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, 1196 Hwy 371 West, Prescott, AR. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m.at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home with burial at Liberty Cemetery in the Redland Community.
