Obituary: Delton Glenn Calhoun ''Pop'', 94, a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20th, 2025. Delton was born August 26th, 1930 in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Olin ''Papa Slim'' and Verna ''Fat Momma'' Calhoun. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin and Verna Calhoun; his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley May Calhoun; his four brothers, Denton Calhoun, Terrell Calhoun, Autrey Calhoun and Gaylon Calhoun; son, Richard Calhoun; daughter-in-law, Keri Calhoun; son-in-law, Tom Cunningham and two great grandsons, Whitten and Tatum Cunningham. Delton was deeply dedicated to his work and his community. He retired from Kroger Company after many years as a skilled meat cutter. His commitment extended beyond his career, as he was a devoted member of his church, faithfully serving as a Deacon for 56 years. Delton was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his second wife of 12 years, Geraldine ''Gerri'' Calhoun; a son, Steve Calhoun and wife, Teresa of Romance, Arkansas; son, Dan Calhoun and wife, Jodie of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Alesheia Cunningham of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi and daughter-in-law, Nancy Calhoun of Mansfield, Texas; along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 10:00am Friday, June 27th, 2025 at Lifeline Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am, officiated by Brother Jeff Dial and Dr. Don Chancellor. The graveside service will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Nevada County. Delton's pallbearers are his grandsons, Luke Calhoun, Caleb Calhoun, Devin Calhoun, Zach Calhoun, Tyler Cunningham, Dalton Sides and honorary pallbearers, Will Calhoun, along with the deacons of Lifeline Baptist Church.
