| Obituary: | Larry Jones, Sr., 77, of Prescott passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in Prescott. Mr. Jones was born on March 10, 1948, in Nevada County to Boyd and Helen Estes Jones. He was a long-time mechanic in Prescott and a Baptist preacher at the Bluff City Baptist Church. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carlette Jones. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Karen Jones; his sons Larry Jones, Jr (Carrie) and Davey Jones (Lori) all of Prescott; a step-son Jason Jobe (Janet) of Hope; a step-daughter Sarah Plunkett (Greg) of Texarkana, TX; his sister Ann Stockton of Prescott; two granddaughters Marissa Brzeski (Steven) of Prescott and Alyssa Sinyard (Hunter) of Fouke; three step-grandchildren Hallie Jobe, Carleigh Jobe and Berkley Plunkett; two great grandchildren Lacy Brzeski and Rhett Sinyard. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Central Baptist Church of Prescott with Bro. Frank Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott. |
