Obituary: Mrs. Doris Marie Morrow Burke, age 90 of Prescott, AR went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday August 10, 2020. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Prescott, AR to Rev. Robert Henry and Mary Etta Morrow. Mrs. Burke was a beautician and business owner of Kristi’s Beauty Salon in Prescott for 25 years. She had the gift of hospitality and loved cooking for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Joe Burke, for over 70 years. Granny, as she was known to her grandchildren, loved and welcomed all who came to her home. She also was an accomplished quilter and loved her flowers and garden. In her later years, she loved traveling with her brother and sister, visiting most of the United States in their travels. Mrs. Burke was an active member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church where her father was a previous pastor, who also met her mother there in the late 1920’s. She had been a Sunday School teacher, deacon’s wife, and piano player over her many years of serving her Lord. Mrs. Burke is preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons; David Burke, Joey Burke, one granddaughter; Kristi Burke Cuthbertson, one daughter-in-law; Nancy Burke, two brothers; Robert and Tommy Morrow. She is survived by her husband; Joe Burke, three sons; Ricky Burke, wife Sherry of Prescott, AR, Mike Burke, wife Sissy of Wake Village, TX, Steve Burke, wife Genevieve of Prescott, AR, five grandchildren; Jon Paul Burke, Jason Burke, wife Tara, Derek Burke, wife Emma, Lindsey Burke, wife Shelby, Daniel Burke, wife Morgan, eleven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister; Mary Lou Nivens, one brother; Larry Morrow, and a number of other relatives. Visitation will be 9:00 am Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, AR with service to follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Jerry Evans and Rev. Shawn Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Nubbin Hill Cemetery, Prescott, AR.
