Obituary: Linda Susan Formby Wright of Prescott, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 21st at the age of 58. She was born to William and Linda Formby in Prescott, Arkansas at the Cora Donnel Hospital on March 25, 1964. She was a well-respected educator who retired from the Texarkana Independent School District after thirty years. She and her husband, Dow, moved back to her childhood home in Prescott in 2015. She worked for the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the Nevada County Library before returning to the classroom at Blevins Independent School District in Blevins, Arkansas. She was beginning her fifth year with the district when Jesus called her home to Heaven. She attended Prescott Independent School District from kindergarten all the way to twelfth grade where she loved every day of school, classmate, and teacher. She was saved while attending church camp as a child. She continued her education at Henderson State University receiving her BSE in 1986. While teaching full time and raising her family, she attended East Texas State University (now Texas A&M-Texarkana) where she received her Master’s degree in Special Education. She took great pleasure in bringing her students up to their potential. She was a gifted and beautiful person full of love for all children, family, and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her parents William and Linda Formby, her mother-in-law Chirpy Wright, her loving husband of 35 years, Dow Wright, her two sons and daughter-in-law: Brady and Allison Wright of Texarkana, Mark Wright of Prescott: brother Phillip and Glenda Formby: nephew Jonathan Formby: niece Beth Formby Bruce and Taylor: great niece Emerie Grace Formby and a host of friends and family. niece Beth Bruce and nephew Taylor Bruce. She was a current member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 25th at Brazzel Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, AR from 2-4 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26th at 2 PM with Brother Mike Puckett and Brother Neal Ridling officiating with burial to follow at Deann Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral of Home of Prescott, Eddie Brazzel Director.
