Obituary: Dwight Allen Shipp, aged 71, of Rosston, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born on April 8, 1954, in Prescott, AR, Dwight was the beloved son of Marvis Shipp and Mary Griffin Shipp. He was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning his own trucking company, and was known for his passion for buying and selling things and his love for conversing with his trucking friends. Dwight was a cherished member of the Union Baptist Church community. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane, his sons Allen Shipp (Stacy) and Rodney Holland (Amber), all residing in Rosston, and his sister Nancy Biddle (Charles) of Rosston. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Shipp of Magnolia, Kaitlyn Holland, and Ethan Edwards of Rosston, and leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvis and Mary, as well as John Shipp and Darrell Shipp. A graveside service will be held on September 10, 2025, at 10am at Rosston Cemetery, with Bro. Joe Brown and Bro Bo Murphy officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Union Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of the Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
